Project - Inquisition — Liam Ramirez

Created during the 2020 lockdown, “Inquisition” challenged me to find inspiration in a familial scale. I re-interpreted the aesthetics of my childhood which included both traditional and modern Filipino-Australian dressing – the barong, the puffer jacket, the Adidas tracksuit and the raincoat.

By envisioning three women, I pay reverence to the aesthetics of my childhood while critiquing my own colonial gaze.
